Julia Andrews Announces Endorsements
Today Westford’s current Representative and former Representative joined forces to endorse Julia Andrews to be the first representative of the newly formed Chittenden-25 district, representing a portion of Milton and all of Westford.
Representative Alyssa Black said, “It has been my greatest honor to serve Westford in the State Legislature. The trust you have placed in me is humbling. I cannot think of a better candidate to pass the baton to than Julia Andrews. She will be an invaluable addition to the legislature, and I can’t wait to serve beside her.”
Martha Heath, who served as Westford’s representative for 22 years, including a decade serving a portion of Milton, said, “It is with great enthusiasm that I support Julia's run for State Representative. Julia has been a strong leader in our community exemplified by her founding of the Westford Food Shelf, her excellent work as a member of the Westford Selectboard and now as a member of the board of Westford's Common Hall. I know she would bring the same strong and important leadership skills to the Statehouse.” During her tenure at the Statehouse, Heath served as Chair of the Appropriations Committee for 10 years.
“Over the years, I’ve put in the hard work to serve my community and help reach our shared goals, and it’s so humbling to be recognized for that,” said Julia Andrews, candidate for the Chittenden-25 seat in the House. “Even more important to me is where that recognition originates: with two well-respected powerhouses of our community like Martha and Alyssa. It will be an absolute honor to follow in their footsteps.”
